Herbert Blomstedt returns to the Philharmonia to conduct Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony – a work full of rhythmic vitality that was described by Wagner as ‘the apotheosis of the dance’. Alongside, Brahms’s impassioned First Piano Concerto with pianist Martin Helmchen.
