Conductor Natalie Murray Beale leads the Philharmonia Orchestra in a performance of the opening movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony.

The iconic first four notes of Beethoven’s Fifth have become the most memorable moment in all classical music whilst Mozart’s final symphony is regarded by many of the high point of the Classical period.

Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt, known for her interpretations of Bach’s music, performs his First Piano Concerto to open the concert.
