The Norfolk and Norwich Chamber Music Series presents a performance by the Philharmonia Chamber Players. In its formal layout, Schubert’s Octet is modelled on the ever-popular Septet by Beethoven. But Schubert’s effervescent piece is stamped throughout with his own personality. Mozart’s masterly Duo for violin and viola is an object lesson in how to write inventively for the most intimate of ensembles.
