2021/2022 London Season

Principal Conductor Santtu Matias-Rouvali conducts the Philharmonia

It’s an exciting time for the Philharmonia: we have a new Principal Conductor, Santtu-Matias Rouvali, and we’re able to give large-scale concerts for a live audience again. We can’t wait to play for you.

We’ve got some great musical experiences in store, from epic symphonies by Mahler and Bruckner to a new commission by Isobel Waller-Bridge. The 80+ fantastic musicians of the Philharmonia are joined by violinists Pekka Kuusisto, Nicola Benedetti and Joshua Bell, and pianists Maria João Pires, Nobuyuki Tsujii and Benjamin Grosvenor. Our Human / Nature series focusses on how composers across the centuries have been inspired by the natural world – find out more here.
