Dvořák Rusalka Listen

Love. Magic. Heartbreak.

The water spirit Rusalka longs to become human and find love with the prince of her dreams. But her transformation comes at a terrible cost – the spell sacrifices her voice and immortality, and should she fail in her quest, the prince will die and she will be damned. Will Rusalka find the happiness she seeks?

Sweeping melodies and shimmering sonorities, crowned by the unforgettable emotion of the ‘Song to the Moon’, effortlessly capture the witchcraft and fairytale setting of Dvořák’s best-loved opera. We welcome to the stage Natalya Romaniw (Eugene Onegin, 2016 and The Bartered Bride, 2019) in the title role of this new production, with Michael Boyd (Eugene Onegin, 2016, Pelléas et Mélisande, 2017 and Don Giovanni, 2019) directing and Douglas Boyd conducting.
