We close the Bold Tendencies 2024 programme with Mahler’s epic ‘Resurrection’ Symphony.

Mahler’s monumental work for orchestra and voices offers a universal message, the search for sustainable purpose and meaning amidst human suffering. As the world trembles and fractures, a massed, otherworldly chorus sings in primal light, “Rise again, yes, rise again you will!”.

Leading the Philharmonia is brilliant young Greek conductor Nefeli Chadouli, who makes her UK debut.
