Gough The 12 Days of Christmas

Join the Philharmonia Orchestra Brass Ensemble for a feast of seasonal music, from Christmas carols to festive favourites.

There’s something irresistibly Christmassy about the sound of brass instruments, their warm tones blending together like a choir of carol singers. The Philharmonia brass section has long been celebrated for its style and finesse and for the tautness of its ensemble playing – as well as an infectious sense of camaraderie. As cheering as a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie, this programme brings together music sacred and secular, old and new.

From serene Advent pieces, anticipating the joys of Christmas, to the merriest melodies of the season, this is a Christmas concert that has something for everyone.
