Help us celebrate our 80^th birthday by bringing Orchestra Unwrapped to 80 schools.

Orchestra Unwrapped is a project that lights sparks of inspiration in the audience of the future. The Philharmonia’s flagship education programme enables primary school children to engage with the transformative power of a live orchestra through creative workshops and concerts in London, Leicester, Bedford, Basingstoke and Canterbury, as well as empowering teachers though INSET training. Everyone is welcomed into the world of orchestra music, with music from Stravinsky to Star Wars.

As we celebrate our milestone anniversary season, we feel compelled to go further, increasing our impact beyond the concert platform by reaching more children and teachers than ever before.

This Season, to mark our 80^th birthday, we will be taking Orchestra Unwrapped into 80 schools, rolling out the project across all five of our residencies for the first time. This ambitious expansion, of many more workshops, INSET days and 2 more full symphonic concerts means that nearly 7,000 children (a 60% increase on the number of children we reached last year) will be able to experience live orchestral music – many for the first time – in a programme that champions creativity, confidence, and cross-curricular learning.
