Orff Carmina Burana

David Hill leads the Orchestra and a sea of voices in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Based on 24 poems from the Latin Carmina Burana manuscript, it includes the famous ‘O Fortuna’, one of the most recognisable compositions in classical music.

First comes Glinka’s overture to Ruslan and Ludmila, a poem based on Russian folktales, then Saint-Saëns’s Organ Symphony, a spine-tingling orchestral masterpiece.
