Italian clarinetist Lucia Porcedda has played with majors orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra and English National Opera.

She was on trial for the associate principal clarinet position with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and clarinetist at Southbank Sinfonia 2022/2023.

Having graduating with honors from the conservatoire of her hometown Cagliari (Italy), she then studied at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome and at Conservatoire Régional in Paris. She completed her Master’s degree with Distinctions at the Royal Academy of Music in 2022 and the Artist Diploma course at the Royal College of Music in London in 2024.

Supported by the Hogwood Scholarship, she was also selected for the BBC Symphony Orchestra Pathway Scheme 2023/2024.

When she is not busy with music, she spends her time with family and friends, possibly immersed in a Sardinian landscape.
