We celebrate the end of our tour in Mauritius with a concert featuring local Mauritian musicians and choruses.
Renowned cellist Steven Isserlis plays Haydn’s charming Second Cello Concerto. Philharmonia musicians Zsolt-Tihamér Visontay and Adrián Varela lead the Orchestra in a programme including music by Soumik Datta, Verdi and Handel.
Joining the Philharmonia are Arvind C. Bhujun (sitar) and Neriyen Veerlapin (tabla), plus Choir of the Conservatoire National de Musique François-Mitterrand and Island Voices Choir, Mauritius.
The Philharmonia’s tour to Mauritius is made possible by a generous donation from the Laurence Modiano Charitable Trust.
