Clara Gatti Comini
Harp
Clara Gatti Comini is an Italian harpist and current Philharmonia Instrumental Fellow. She is pursuing a PhD in harp at the London College of Music as a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholar, researching immersive performance and spatial transformation through the harp. Clara studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire (BMus & MMus with Distinction), and trained in Paris and Barcelona. She also holds a BA in International Development from King’s College London.
A passionate orchestral player, she was harpist with the European Union Youth Orchestra in 2023, performing under Sir Antonio Pappano and Manfred Honeck at venues including the Elbphilharmonie, Grafenegg Wolkenturm, and Concertgebouw. She has since performed with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Les Arts in Valencia under Lorenzo Viotti, and received orchestral training from English National Ballet.
Clara is a prizewinner of the UK Harp Association Emerging Artist and Creative Fund 2024, WHC Spectrum 2024, and the John Marson Prize. She is also an orchestral coach at European Youth Summer Music.
