An epic evening of Gershwin’s timeless hits arranged by Troy Miller, performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra and singers Laura Mvula and Shaun Escoffery.

With the soulful, elegant voices of Mvula and Escoffery, composer and producer Troy Miller presents spectacular new treatments of unforgettable classics including ‘Summertime’, ‘I Got Rhythm’ and ‘Embraceable You’.

Miller’s reimagining of Gershwin’s work has previously been presented by the Philharmonia Orchestra and many more. Miller has toured with artists including Amy Winehouse, Chaka Khan, Roy Ayers, Laura Mvula and Gregory Porter, and has produced music for Ayers, Mvula, and Porter.

Singer-songwriter Laura Mvula has been nominated for the Mercury Prize for both of her albums to date, Sing to the Moon and The Dreaming Room, and has won two MOBO awards. The Dreaming Room won album of the year at the Ivor Novello Awards 2017.

R&B talent Shaun Escoffery has multiple West End credits to his name, and in 2008 appeared in the West End production of The Lion King. He has been nominated for a Laurence Olivier award, and released his latest album Evergreen in 2016.

This concert is promoted by Southbank Centre.
