Nelson Goerner joins the Philharmonia Orchestra for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23. Mozart wrote this to perform himself, and it displays the full range of his talent as both composer and performer. Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony is arguably his most popular work. Sensuous string melodies give way to a final brass fanfare, closing the programme with a grand orchestral flourish.
