The Guest List
The Guest List is the Philharmonia’s initiative that invites individuals who have never seen a live orchestra to a Philharmonia concert in London, Bedford or Leicester.
The Guest List initiative offers complimentary tickets to Philharmonia Orchestra concerts to individuals and community groups that have never attended a classical concert before.
At the Philharmonia, we believe classical music is for everyone. The Guest List aims to support people by addressing barriers including uncertainty about classical music, feeling unwelcome in concert halls, accessibility needs, and other challenges.
As part of the initiative, we liaise closely with participants before concerts to offer information about the orchestra, soloists and music, answer questions and clarify quirks such concert etiquette, and facilitate access needs. On the day of the concert, participants receive a tour of the venue and are invited to a pre-concert welcome talk with complimentary refreshments. A member of the Philharmonia team then discusses the music in the concert to follow.
The programme currently operates in our Bedford, Leicester and London residencies.
