Britten Saint Nicolas Listen

Three mystical works for choir and orchestra feature in tonight’s programme.

First, the Three Choirs Festival Youth Choir revisit the first work they ever commissioned, British-Bulgarian composer Dobrinka Tabakova’s beautiful Centuries of Meditations. John Rutter’s Visions invites the listener to imagine the peace of heaven.

Britten’s Saint Nicolas is filled with the composer’s trademark colourful style, filled with thrills, excitement, and moments of serenity.
