Join us on the Clore Ballroom after the concert to celebrate our 80th birthday.
As soon as the music ends in the Royal Festival Hall, the party begins. Audience members are warmly invited to continue the afternoon with us just a few steps away on the Clore Ballroom, where we’ll be marking eight decades of music-making, creativity and community.
A group of Philharmonia players and fellows will be on hand to strike up the music and lead a light-hearted tea dance, with something for everyone whether you want to take to the floor or simply enjoy the atmosphere. You can take part in musical quizzes and friendly competitions, learn a few moves, chat with fellow concertgoers and Philharmonia musicians and staff, and soak up the celebratory spirit.
And of course, no birthday would be complete without cake. Please come and share a slice.
This post-concert gathering is free and open to all who are around for the afternoon concert. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
