Beethoven Violin Concerto

Dvořák Symphony No. 7

Santtu conducts a programme of German and Bohemian greats on tour in Hamburg.

Patricia Kopatchinskaja is the soloist in Beethoven’s lyrical Violin Concerto. Described as “unpredictable and wonderfully imaginative” (The Times), she is one of classical music’s most exciting performers to watch.

Dvořák’s Seventh Symphony completes the programme. It’s full of lyrical Bohemian spirit and bursting with melodies. Tender personal moments contrast with passages of intense drama – Dvořák wrote that his symphony’s themes were “Love, God and Fatherland”.
