Coulais Les Choristes – film screening with live orchestra (UK premiere)

Enjoy Christophe Barratier’s Oscar-nominated and César-winning 2004 film, Les Choristes, live in concert with orchestra for the very first time in the UK.

Set in 1948, it follows the journey of Clément Mathieu, an unemployed music teacher who accepts a position as supervisor in a rehabilitation boarding school for children. The repressive system installed by the Director, Rachin, upsets Mathieu and, by introducing these troubled children to music and the beauty of singing, he succeeds in transforming their lives.

Coulais’s score is one of the greats of French cinema with songs such as ‘Vois sur ton chemin’ and ‘Caresse sur l’océan’. The film won a César for best soundtrack, and was nominated at the Oscars for both best original song and best foreign language film and the BAFTAs for best film music.

Concert Promoted by ESK.

Les Choristes in Concert is co-produced and licensed by uGo&Play and TF1 Spectacle in agreement with Galatée Films and Pathé Films. Worldwide representation by IMG Artists GmbH Germany.
