Philharmonia Festival in Leicester
Join the Philharmonia Orchestra to celebrate our 80th birthday! This Spring, we’re marking our anniversary in each of our four residencies with a day of activity for you to get involved in: try out our virtual reality experience and fun activities in the Highcross Centre, listen to pop-up performances across town and attend a pre-concert talk, all before our evening concert in De Montfort Hall.

Have you ever tried a virtual reality experience?
Try the Virtual Orchestra from 11am until 4pm at the Highcross Centre – put on a headset and experience the music from the best seat in the house: right in the middle of the orchestra!
From 1.30pm at the Harpur Suite, watch the young musicians of Bedford Music Service play side-by-side with Philharmonia players.
Get behind the music: hear from conductor Ryan Bancroft about the evening’s concert – 6pm at De Montfort Hall.
