Isabella grew up in Bromley, southeast London and started learning the cornet at her primary school on a scheme called ‘Band on the Run’. Completely hooked by the end of the term, Isabella then transferred to playing the horn the following year. Bromley Youth Music Trust was a huge part of her musical development, allowing her to perform a wide range of repertoire and to tour Europe with friends.

Isabella went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music, followed by a Master’s at Guildhall School of Music and Drama on the Orchestral Artistry course. Whilst at Guildhall, Isabella joined CATIL Quintet, a wind quintet with whom she performs regularly.

CATIL Quintet is an emerging London-based wind ensemble, bringing together five musicians from the UK, France and Hong Kong. Formed in 2022 by alumni of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the group is driven by a shared passion for chamber music and a commitment to accessibility, the quintet seeks to act as a bridge between the music and the audience.

Their diverse repertoire spans a variety of styles, reflecting a versatile approach aimed at making classical music an inclusive, welcoming experience for all.
