Mozart Requiem

One of the most famous choral works of all time, Mozart’s dramatic Requiem is an awe-inspiring work shrouded in mystery.

Impassioned and haunting, the piece was composed as Mozart lay on his deathbed, and remained unfinished at his untimely passing, being completed by his pupil according to his wishes. Mozart poured his fear, pain, and grief into his Requiem, and produced unforgettable music of great beauty and power.

The Requiem is paired with Mozart’s charming Sinfonia Concertante for Violin, Viola and Orchestra, performed by two Philharmonia musicians: Concertmaster Zsolt-Tihamér Visontay and Principal Viola Scott Dickinson. At times lively, at others sorrowful, we’re in very good hands for one of Mozart’s best loved works.
