Mozart The Marriage of Figaro
The Philharmonia, led by award-winning conductor Tabita Berglund, take on one of Mozart’s great operas at Garsington Opera 2024.
It’s Susanna and Figaro’s wedding day and the chaos that ensues is full of delusion, disguise and misunderstanding. Count Almaviva is in pursuit of Susanna and Barbarina, the Countess is deeply unhappy, the cheeky teenage page Cherubino is constantly in the wrong place at the wrong time. Basilio makes trouble wherever he can, and the scheming Bartolo and Marcellina do their utmost to thwart the marriage plans for their own motives.
