Chair Endowment

The Philharmonia’s musicians are amongst the finest in the world. Chair Endowment enables you to support a position within the Orchestra that has a personal resonance or is of special interest to you, allowing you to develop a closer relationship with a specific position or musician.

Chair Endowment enables you to support a position within the Orchestra that has a personal resonance or is of special interest to you. If flutes or trumpets are your passion, endowing a principal player’s chair will ensure that your name and personal support are channelled directly to that section. Chair Endowment is therefore a hugely satisfying and personal way in which to contribute to the Philharmonia Orchestra’s music-making.

The Philharmonia invites supporters to endow a Principal Musician’s Chair for £2,500 per year.

Chair Endowers are credited in all Philharmonia concert programmes, as well as on the Philharmonia website, alongside the name of their musician. The scheme also offers Chair Endowers the opportunity to establish a direct relationship with the musician who occupies their chair.
