Philharmonia Orchestra announces 2020/21 London Season with Greek myth in music series, 75th anniversary celebrations part II and major artist appearances

Vladimir Ashkenazy, Conductor Laureate of the Philharmonia, recently announced that he is to step down from conducting.

Richard Watkins was the Philharmonia’s Principal Horn from 1985 to 1996. Like many of his colleagues, he grew up listening to Dennis Brain’s recordings.
